2026 HUNTVSILLE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA'S YOUNG PEOPLE'S CONCERT
HSO, in conjunction with the HSO Guild, presents:The Comedians!
Dmitri Kabalevsky’s quirky, lighthearted The Comedians was originally incidental music for a children’s play. It has become one of his best-loved works, and it's the springboard for the creativity of our puppeteering friends at Huntsville M.E.T. as they retell the famed fables of Aesop in this year’s Young People's Concerts. Also on the program are short, well-known pieces by Edvard Grieg, and Georges Bizet's Children's Games. It’s a fantastically fun way to introduce youngsters to the symphony orchestra!

Huntsville M.E.T. , puppeteers
Huntsville M.E.T. is a premier puppet-making nonprofit known for bringing stories to life through imaginative design and engaging performance. We’re thrilled to welcome them back to this season’s Young People’s Concert, where their vibrant puppets and creative artistry help make classical music accessible and exciting for young audiences. Their collaboration with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra introduces children to the magic of live performance in a fun and memorable way. Whether it’s a whimsical character or a larger-than-life creature, Huntsville M.E.T.’s puppets add an extra layer of wonder to the concert experience. We can’t wait to see what they bring next!
