Mr. Prentiss Hobbs was the principal trombone of the HSO for 17 years from 1990-2007 until being re-appointed this past October. Being very happy to come back to the HSO, Mr. Hobbs is also sought after for many other orchestras around the southeast. He is second trombone with the CSO in Chattanooga TN, as well as being a top call extra with the Nashville Symphony and Louisville Symphony. Mr. Hobbs also subs with the Grant Park summer Symphony in Chicago. Mr. Hobbs is also one of the top call session musicians in Nashville TN. recording with Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Vince Gill, Wynonna Judd, the Nashville Symphony, and many others. Mr. Hobbs currently lives in Murfreesboro TN. with his four dogs Harry, Rosie, Mini and Bently.
