Rachel McFarlaneAs a child, my parents took me to Panoply in Huntsville where I first saw a violin. I was able to hold the instrument and squeak out a few notes – from that day on, I was hooked! Due to my parents having no musical talent, I know God gave me this gift. I studied classical and bluegrass until I reached college. Now with over 20 years playing violin, 12 years teaching violin, and 6 years playing in professional symphonies, music is my life. I’ve learned how valuable music is – it effects emotion and puts people at ease, it crosses cultural and language barriers, it unites people. I am so blessed to make a living doing what I love and am passionate about.
