Curtis Lindsay

General Manager

Curtis Lindsay is General Manager of the HSO, and performs with the orchestra as pianist. A native of Athens, Alabama, Curtis is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville (BA in music), and undertook pre-college coursework at the Mannes and Juilliard Schools. Curtis works on scheduling for the orchestra and its leadership, concert production, program guide annotation, grant writing and other fundraising, and guest artist bookings and relations. A versatile pianist as well as a composer and arranger, he works locally as a chamber musician, accompanist, and choral coach and conductor.

Jerry Nutt

Director of Development

Jerry Nutt is Director of Development for the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra. The Director of Development is responsible for the fund raising efforts of the HSO. Jerry develops and executes the HSO’s annual fundraising plan, secures financial support from individuals and corporations, develops and maintains ongoing relationships with major donors, and executes a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors. As a former HSO player as well as a former member of the HSO Board of Trustees, Jerry has been involved with and has had a passion for the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra for over 30 years. Jerry is retired from a career in Information Technology sales.


Cindy Reaves

Operations Director

Cindy Reaves is the Operations Director for the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra and has an A.A.S. in Business and Computer Science. Cindy is responsible for Patron services, daily office management, purchasing, administration and maintenance of the ticketing software which includes, season renewals, setup of the concert season for ticket sales, user accounts, generation of funding and campaign reports, maintains data base indexes, special projects and coordinates volunteer functions with the HSO Guild. Cindy’s background is in Information Technology where she retired from the Marshall County Health Care System.

Hunter Thomas

Orchestra Personnel Manager and Librarian

Hunter Thomas has served as HSO Orchestra Personnel Manager for 14 years and as Orchestra Librarian for 20 years. As Orchestra Personnel Manager, he oversees all areas regarding the musicians, including auditions, hiring, payroll, scheduling, and administering the contract. As Orchestra Librarian, he oversees the procurement of music, scheduling bowings, and making sure the music gets to the musicians in advance.
